About this event

Funders are increasingly keen to support academic-industry collaborations to develop new ideas, products and services. But such projects can be complex, and there is often learning involved for academic institutions and industry partners.

Royal Holloway is home to StoryFutures, a £9m+ innovation initiative that brings researchers from arts, humanities, social and natural sciences together with creative businesses to innovate in immersive storytelling. Using technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, it supports ground-breaking ideas and prototypes with significant creative and commercial potential.

In this session you will hear insights from StoryFutures’ work with industry, involving 50+ researchers in 40+ projects, and engaging with 700+ innovative companies in our region and Greater London.

You will learn about:

* Academic and Industry perspectives on collaborative innovation

* Structuring successful projects: ideas, tools and processes

* Working with regional and local stakeholders

* How to get involved in StoryFutures.

The event will encourage discussion, with plenty of time for questions.
